The first blast at Mouse Hollow marked the kick off of production for Mineral Mining Services.
The Mouse Hollow contract will see the recommencement of open pit mining for the Higginsville operation and the start of a long-lasting relationship between MMS and Karora Resources. The project has had a successful startup with early mobilisation of a fleet of Cat 777G’s and a Brand-new Cat 6015b Excavator. The first month of production showed the great benefits of the Cat 6015b excavator, which was fitted with an 8.3m3 bucket, matched with Hercules DT Hi load trays fitted on the Cat 777’s, which returned a positive truck factor average for the month at 48 BCM per truck.
